While we are extremely bummed that the Superhero Heart Run will not be taking place in person this year, we still wanted to put an event together for our registrants and heart families. Dr. Gangemi, Cardiac Surgeon with UVA will be there to speak on the collaboration between UVA and VCU and we will have team members for the CHOR at VCU cardiac team attending as well. Pizzas will be provided by River City Wood Fire Pizza and each person attending with receive 1 drink ticket. Any additional beverage, alcohol or other will be at your own expense. Run bags will be available for pick up as well for those who registered for the run. Heart Heroes and Mended Little Hearts of Central Virginia have made the very difficult decision to shift the Superhero Heart Run Richmond to a virtual event. It appears we are still experiencing the repercussions of a time past, this is reflected in the decrease in registrations from previous years.

​​​​​​​​​WE'RE GOING VIRTUAL! Update Regarding Your Registration. Thank you for your support of the Richmond Superhero Heart Run!  We are excited to announce that the Richmond Superhero Heart Run will be a virtual event this year and want to explain what that means for you!  

We will not be holding an in-person event this year, due to the COVID-19 health crisis.  The safety and health of our Heart Heroes, families, supporters and volunteers is our number one priority, and we feel this extremely difficult yet necessary decision will protect those we serve.  

If you've already registered for the run, your registration will be converted to a "virtual ticket" and your run swag (cape, medal and bag) will be mailed to you - plus an extra gift!  We will mail the run swag to the address provided during registration (please contact us to update your shipping address).  

You can walk, run or FLY to finish your 5k or 2k- Your Time, Your Place, Your Call!  We invite you to cross the virtual finish line with us on November 14 and join us for our virtual ceremonies, virtual Heart Hero Parade, Heart Angel Remembrance and more!  Make Sure You Get Your SWAG ON!•  Heart Hero/Heart Angel Yard Signs:  Honor your Heart Hero or Heart Angel with a custom yard sign! For only $25, you'll receive a customized, double-sided 9x24" yard sign featuring your warrior's photo and information-shipping is included!  After ordering, please email us a photo of your Heart Hero or Angel (high-res preferred)

Join Mended Little Hearts of Central Virginia as we jump start CHD Awareness week with the staff of the UVA Pediatric Cardiology Richmond office and special guest speaker, Dr. Gangemi!

The staff will help with babysitting, activities and will be providing snacks and light refreshments.
